Myanmar is a multi-ethnic country with multiple ethnic groups having their own traditions, languages, and customs. Some of the major ethnic groups are Bamar, Shan, Karen, and, Mon. While in Myanmar, you can experience these and other ethnic groups and immerse yourself in their culture.

If you are interested in learning about the arts and crafts of different countries, then Myanmar has a rich tradition of arts and crafts. Thanks to the relative isolation of the country, Myanmar still practices traditional techniques. Craftspeople create incredible work with their hand but do not use glue or power tools. The arts and crafts are based on ten highly priced skills such as sculpture in wood, sculpting with stone, blacksmithing, bronze casting, and many more. You can see these skills everywhere, from drinking cups to tinkling brass bells found in temples.

When it comes to traditional dress, different ethnic groups have their own way of dressing. Having said that, there is a common attire for both men and women. The men wear Longyi, which is a sheet of cloth often sewn in a cylindrical shape and worn around the waist. Women also wear Longyi along with a blouse and a shawl.
