Overview

Milford Sound is located on the west coast of the South Island. It is a globally renowned natural marvel boasting towering peaks, cascading waterfalls, and incredible wildlife. This natural wonderland is also a haven for wildlife, with penguins, fur seals, and dolphins calling it home.

Despite its beauty, Europeans only stumbled upon it in the 1800s. Legend has it that its entrance was so hidden that even the famous explorer Captain Cook missed it twice.
