Discover Tailor-Made Ecuador Vacations

From the Galápagos Islands to Quito’s charm, a trip to Ecuador offers endless discovery

Four distinct regions make up Ecuador: the Amazon, the Andes, the Pacific Coast, and the Galapagos Islands, all of which give the small South American nation a rare geographic depth. For visitors this means an enticing range of potential experiences, from cultural to active to culinary.

Among the many options, you can wander through charming cities such as Quito or Cuenca, connect with indigenous cultures on a cruise down the Amazon, explore volcano-dotted grasslands on foot or horseback, and island hop around the Galapagos, the fabled archipelago that inspired Charles Darwin’s theories on evolution.

Add in the breathtaking beauty of the Andean highlands, the beaches of the coast, and some truly unique wildlife and you have a destination unlike any other.

Featured Highlights

  • Luxury cruising through the Galápagos Islands with onboard naturalist guides
  • Spot a range of hummingbirds and exotic fauna in the Mindo Cloud Forest
  • Trekking along the Avenue of the Volcanoes for epic views of towering peaks and lush valleys
  • Checking into a luxury eco-lodge or cruising vessel for wildlife spotting in the Amazon
  • Strolling through the colonial streets of Quito and Cuenca
  • Visiting indigenous markets in charming Otavalo

I worked with Jaime Vargas-Hernandez to put a last minute trip to Peru for my clients, i did not have much knowledge of Peru but with the guidance of Jaime i was able to offer one of a lifetime trip to my clients. Once my client arrived they contacted me right away to inform how much they enjoying their first day with Local sight seeing tour on Lima and they looking forward to Machu Picchu, Jaime worked with to provide a flawless trip for my client and under their budget. Jaime was available to me through out my booking process and was able to offer me alternativities if something was not available . Jaime's destination knowledge is amazing and above all his service and customer service level is very much apricated . He has also tried me to help/assist me with other departments where i was not able to get answers . I would definitively recommend Jaime if you ever deal with Go away, if he cannot help you he will put you to the right person who can assist you the same way. Looking forward to working with Jaime again in future. Thank you for all your hard work, Best, Unnati Avenue Travel.

Custom Trip to Peru
We booked a fully custom trip for 2 in Peru. Our travel advisor was Amanda De Oliveira and she was exceptional. After weeks of back and forth and slight tweaks we had our perfect itinerary planned. Condor Travel in Peru, which was the onsite tour company was also exceptional. Every tour guide was absolutely amazing and this being the first time I did private tours I will never go back. We had some issues with the protests on the trains to get to Machu Picchu, but the GoWay and Condor teams were amazing in working to get us there the best they could. I would 100% recommend GoWay for a trip like this with lots of logistics, custom tours, and movements throughout a country.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
I am a travel agent with more than 34 years of experience. I must admit I have never booked Patagonia. I was lucky enough to deal with Osvaldo Gonzalez. Ozzie was exceptional with his knowledge of Patagonia. It was a complicated itinerary since many of the lodges were sold out. He kept in contact with me and my client (who happened to be on a trip to Switzerland when booking this trip). He communicated with us both (even with the time change) and put an amazing itinerary together. He was in constant contact with his agents in Chile and it was incredibly challenging since it was a holiday. He consistently worked on this until the client was satisfied and once the itinerary came together client deposited the trip immediately. I hope I get to work with him again.

Trip to Peru
I connected with Goway Travel (my first time) to plan my recent visit to Peru for 10 days. Amanda DeOliveira, was my destination specialist and I can only call her "Amazing Amanda". Since my first call with her, she provided me regular guidance in planning the itinerary and choosing the activities. I realized her planning and understanding of my needs when I went on this adventure and thoroughly enjoyed it. The entire trip was well structured and I never felt rushed to enjoy every day during this trip. I had a couple of specific requirements and they were catered to. I will be remiss if I do not mention the local support at Condor Travel in Peru. Goway Travel made my experience extraordinary and I will connect with them for my future tours. They are a definite recommend for travellers who like to explore the world without any worry.

Osvaldo Gonzales was exceptional
Osvaldo Gonzales was exceptional. I am a travel agent and needed a last minute trip for clients to Peru. He went above and beyond. Stayed late and put an amazing itinerary together that needed no changes from clients. He listened and put together exactly what they wanted. It's rare that I as a veteran travel agent of 40 + years experience that I find someone so eager to work. Great Job!!!

This was the most memorable trip we’ve ever had. Our tour guides @ Rio and Salvador were extremely professional, always punctual and willing to cater to our unique tastes. We didn’t have to break a bank to enjoy being treated like royalty. Goway Travel is putting together our next trip to Portugal in December.

Review for Kajal Gadhia at Goway Travel
My name is Kathy, and I’m a Vacation Consultant with Expedia Cruises in Merrick, NY. I wanted to take a moment to recognize one of your outstanding representatives, Kajal Gadhia. Kajal was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and patient throughout the entire planning process. My clients recently booked a 10-day trip to Lima, Peru, and thanks to Kajal’s expert guidance and thoughtful excursion planning, they had an absolutely wonderful experience. I personally had many questions along the way, and Kajal was always accommodating, responsive, and genuinely sweet. Her professionalism and kindness made the collaboration seamless and enjoyable. I would absolutely work with Kajal again and look forward to booking with Goway in the future!

Travel Information about Ecuador

Get to know Ecuador before you go.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Ecuador depends on the experiences you seek, as this diverse country offers a range of climates and attractions.

The country’s dry season (June to September) is particularly ideal for exploring its major natural attractions, such as the Galapagos Islands (where the cooler temperatures bring a variety of wildlife to the fore), the Amazon rainforest (the reduced rainfall at this time facilitates trekking and wildlife spotting), and the Avenue of the Volcanoes (which offers particularly stunning views and pleasant temperatures during these months).

While this high season attracts more tourists, providing a vibrant atmosphere, those seeking a quieter experience as well as lower prices may opt for the shoulder months of May and October. During this time, the crowds are thinner, but the weather is still favourable for exploration. Galapagos cruises during the holidays (Christmas and New Years) are also extremely popular, so booking well in advance is critical.

It's essential to note that Ecuador's diverse regions contain microclimates, so packing layers is advisable for quick temperature changes and day-to-night transitions.

Ecuador is considered safe for tourists, but be aware of your surroundings and avoid travelling at night. Check with local sources before venturing into unknown areas.

The food in Ecuador is diverse and delicious, encompassing fresh seafood along the Pacific coast, exotic fruits and vegetables from the Amazon, and corn, rice, and beans throughout the country.

The best way to reach the Galapagos is with a domestic flight or on a multi-day cruise. Consult with a travel specialist to make the arrangements.

In the highlands and rainforest, visitors can stay at locally run eco-lodges and visit artisan workshops. In the cities, you can explore some of the best preserved Spanish colonial architecture in South America and take cooking classes.
