The Kioro resort was paradise! Gorgeous, low key, unbeatable view and big rooms. Great service.
The drive from Arenal to the beach is a full four hours many curves and mountains. Not great for those who get car sick but Arenal was so beautiful. Just like Hawaii.
The Coast hotel was awesome as well. Very, very low key. No restaurant but a fantastic place right across the street and a 10 min walk to town with TONS of options. The ocean front rooms are the way to go with a big porch for meals and to watch the sunset. Staff was wonderful.
If staying in Tamarindo it is really easy to rent a golf cart to get around and that is what we did.

We were impressed with the quality of every aspect of our recent trip coordinated and conducted by Goway Travel. Since we were adding a complex multi-location tour that began before, and continued after an Antarctic cruise, a simple 'out of the catalog' tour needed to be modified. Goway coordinated every aspect so the experience was seamless and spot on. In addition, the local guides coordinated by Goway were hands down the best local guides we have experienced in more than 30 years of international travel. Between Goway and our travel agent, we were kept well informed in advance of the vacation and were comfortable with the level of hands-on support we would receive and the latitude to leverage 'on our own' time to maximize our vacation. The local guides went out of their way to accommodate desired adjustments we 'discovered' while on our vacation (for example.."Hey, as long as we are in Argentina, maybe we should catch a Tango show...") With this experience, Goway has become our first choice in local travel coordination.

This is the 3rd occasion using Goway to arrange our trips. Due to the remote location (Antarctica) it required booking almost 18 months in advance. Virginia our agent never left us without contact for long periods of time and arranged everything on our behalf. She followed up, reconfirmed, double checked and made certain everything was in place. Virginia was genuinely excited with our plans and even contacted prior to departure to wish us a great trip. Well done Goway!
