I haven't always worked in the travel industry. Originally from Australia, I have a bachelor's degree in Business, and my first full-time job in the financial industry was in business banking. I had never travelled at the time, but I finally had enough money to see places I had always wanted to see.

I travelled around Asia, since it's so close to Australia, before deciding to move to Japan to teach English for a few years. It was a wonderful experience, and Japan was a good base to explore more of Asia. I eventually decided to go backpacking around Europe for a summer, a typical rite of passage for every young Australian at the time. I then moved to Canada in 2003, where I got married, started working at Goway and had two children.

My first and only job in Canada is with Goway Travel. I am very happy here, and I love what I do: helping my clients plan trips to the destinations I know and love.

Favourite Travel Memory

My favourite travel memory is my first game drive on a safari in the Sabi Sands Nature Reserve in South Africa. Seeing all of the animals up close was just a surreal experience that I will never forget.

My wife and I have just returned from our 5th trip with Goway. Once again everything ran smoothly from first day to last. This trip was the 9 day all Ireland tour which covered both north & south Ireland. The tour was operated by Rabbies tours whom we used in Scotland and the 16 passenger van only had 6 passengers including us.Other than a couple of days the weather was prety good although the wind did get a bit wild. The pub food was delicious & i got a taste for real Guiness. We spent a few extra days in Dublin and found it very expensive, the excange rate didn't help.
