Overview

Take a trip to Vavau on your Tonga Vacation

Vava’u is an island group in Tonga. The main island, a tropical island paradise is also called Vava’u of which the capital is Neiafu. The island of Vava’u is the second largest in Tonga and measures 21 kilometres/12 miles by 25 kilometres/15 miles. It is a prime fishing destination known for its beautiful harbour. Geographically, the north coast is a raised platform of dramatic limestone coral cliffs while the south coast has a low coastline that opens into a complex network of channels, bays and islands framing one of the best-protected harbours in the Pacific, all to be enjoyed on Tonga vacation.

It is home to the botanical garden, Ene’io which has the largest and most varied plant collection in Tonga (over 500 different species). On a Tonga vacation, one can view humpback whales in the crystal clear waters surrounding the island. Other attractions are underwater caves and white sandy beaches. Activities include swimming, diving, snorkeling and sailing.

I love learning about Nicaragua's culture and experiencing its Spanish influence in some cities. I was only there for five days, but I'll never forget how delicious the food was and how welcoming and extremely polite the people were.

The colourful Spanish architecture, the beautiful scenery, particularly the stunning lakes, and the Mayan ruins are what I love most about Guatemala!
