Hạ Long Bay, also called Halong Bay, is a special place in Vietnam's Quảng Ninh province that's been recognized by UNESCO. The history of Halong Bay is a fascinating journey spanning 500 million years. Studies reveal that humans inhabited this area tens of thousands of years ago, adding another layer to its rich history. Also, it has an impressive array of 1,969 islands and islets, forming Asia's largest limestone island ecosystem.
People love visiting Halong Bay because of its beautiful green water, tall limestone islands, and lush forests. The name "Halong" means "where the dragon descends into the sea." In 1994, part of the bay became a World Heritage Site. The best way to explore the area is by taking a cruise or a day trip on a boat. You can relax on the boat while sailing past the tall limestone rocks and many small islands. You can also enjoy the abundance of enormous natural caves as the islands are naturally hollow.

Everything was wonderful. Everything went smoothly. The individual tours were wonderful and all the guides were exceptional. A lot of traveling-the flight was very good on Cathay Pacific would highly recommend their airline seats were comfortable and spaced well. Being on an airplane for 16 hours sucks in general, but other than being a little sore from being stuck in one place all was good.
