Overview
Take a trip to Hurghada on your Egypt Vacation
A resort destination for Egyptians and Europeans alike, Hurghada is a city in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt. Hurghada is a main tourist centre on trips to Egypt and is known for the excellent diving and snorkelling available on the Red Sea Coas on an Egypt tour.
The city was founded early in the 20th century and has continued to grow. Since the 1980s, both Egyptian and foreign investors have helped Hurghada to expand, resulting in the city becoming a leading resort destination on the Red Sea. The city can be divided into three districts: El Dahhar, the old city centre in which traditional Egyptian life is still alive, the Al-Sakkala which is primarily a tourist hub with many hotels, shopping centres and restaurants, and finally, the Al-Ahiaa district along the coastal road which is the newer area.

Egypt is modern and cosmopolitan, yet still rooted in a culture of hospitality. Whether sipping tea with locals or exploring sacred sites, you will find that human connections are as memorable as the monuments themselves
The ancient monuments carry an extraordinary historical significance and relevance. You feel it the moment you are there!
Be prepared for a modest society. Both men and women generally cover their shoulders and knees, and visitors should do the same out of respect.
November to April is the most pleasant weather-wise, while summer can be sweltering with many days over 45 degrees Celsius (about 113 degrees Fahrenheit).
For Egypt's biggest draw, the people have to be on top, but the culture and history are not far behind. It’s a destination where warm hospitality pairs with awe-inspiring history to create an experience like no other.
