Amazing trip to Southeast Asia
We had an amazing trip to Southeast Asia. We would like to thank Goway for organizing a memorable vacation. The tour guides were very personable, kind, respectful and knowledgeable about their countries. It was nice to be able to ask them questions and hear about their daily lives. They went above and beyond to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. We were so glad our tours were private as the guides were very flexible in accommodating us as I often could not fully participate after spending time in a hospital with food poisoning. We enjoyed our time in Singapore. The driver who drove us from and to the airport gave us a compressive overview of daily life in Singapore. It was fascinating to hear how home ownership, retirement and driving was so different there. The accommodations were excellent, the staff were all very kind and helpful. We have to particularly commend the staff at the Siesta Classic Ma May in Hanoi. Ann at reception was so kind to my husband when I was in the hospital asking him regularly how I was doing and arranging late checkout without being asked. And Suzie our Hanoi tour guide for rearranging a tour time for my husband then dropping him off at the hospital. She also managed to take me to see the Ho Chi Minh property on our way to the airport as I had missed so much of Hanoi. I would also like to thank Aurel Vion, the Goway representative from Paris, who personally called me while I was in the hospital to enquire how I was doing, cancel our Halong cruise and arrange an extra night in the hotel for my husband. It was much appreciated. Hoang was super flexible with our tours in Hue and Hoi An as I was still very weak having just gotten out of hospital. We really enjoyed our visit to the private pottery museum and meet the owner and our ride on the Perfume River in a private boat and our voyage through the mountain pass to Danang. Andy, the tour guide who picked us up from the Boutique Hoi A Resort helped us avoid the long lineups in the Danang airport, again very appreciated. Tuan our tour guide in Saigon was also very accommodating. We really enjoyed our days with him relaxing on our private sampan to Cai Be and our trip to Can Tho to visit the floating markets. He also took us to the War Remnants Museum on the way back to Saigon as we had missed our tour of the Cu Chi tunnels because our flight in Danang was delayed 4 hours. And poor Phil in Bangkok, he tried his best with the culinary tour. Unfortunately after the food poisoning we were being very cautious in what we ate. We did appreciate his tour of Chinatown and the great meal of Pad Thai. He also provided us with excellent directions so we could take the subway, skytrain and ferry by ourselves. We will never forget how we were able to experience and appreciate cultures much different than ours. We have only good things to say about Goway and certainly always recommend the company to all we know. We have already had an acquaintance of ours book a trip with the company. And lastly we must thank Katherine Samsonkinai for arranging another excellent vacation. We will certainly continue to recommend her and will be calling her again to organize our next big trip.

Best Travel Agent EVER
I want to personally thank my Travel Agent Alice Teramoto who organized two spectacular trips for me! One to Australia and most recently Vietnam and Cambodia. She nailed it! I can’t express my gratitude enough! Both trips were flawless and hassle free! Every experience exceeded my expectations! I spent my 60th Birthday in Vietnam on the Lunar New Year which was a complete thrill! I highly recommend Alice and will definitely book with her again soon! Thanks so much Alice ♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Our trip to Asia was fantastic!
Our trip to Asia was fantastic! From the beginning of registration, working with Ameet Duggal, to the actual trip, the service Goway provided was outstanding! Ameet was great to work with. He was kind, professional and answered all my questions whenever they arose. Our guides in all four locations (Hong Kong, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Siem Reap) were all exceptional. All were very well informed, spoke English very well, had a great sense of humor, were always on time, and paid attention to all the details so as to make our trip absolutely problem free and enjoyable. We were picked up at all locations at the airport, and returned there, in a punctual manner. The drivers were great, especially Bros in Siem Reap. All had lots of water for us because is was pretty hot everywhere we went. Food was wonderful and all the sites we visited were interesting and beautiful. I was especially impressed with how our guides knew how and when to navigate certain sites to avoid large crowds. They situated our visits so we would avoid the intense heat. All in all, I would definitely consider doing another independent tour with Goway. I would also recommend your services to anyone who wished to travel abroad, especially to Asia!

Vietnam & Cambodia beyond my expectations
I had an agent who organized my trip and I can’t say enough wonderful things about it! I went to Vietnam and was met by guides that were caring, knowledgeable and absolutely amazing! The flights and tours were seamlessly and way beyond my expectations! I encourage everyone to go to Vietnam during the Lunar New Year Festival. Cambodia was equally welcoming and amazing to visit. The guides treated me like a princess and filled my cultural cup! You cannot leave Cambodia without loving the people and culture! It touched my soul! 🇻🇳🇰🇭♥️👏🏻👏🏻

Oscar Chow is a top-notch employee
Oscar Chow is a top-notch employee. I have worked with about 5 GoWay specialists 1 of them was bad. 3 of them were good but Oscer is 10/10. He handles everything efficiently and quickly. NEVER is he frustrated with me or impatient on the phone or through email. He is very professional and very knowledgeable. If you have an Asain destination I would recommend him 1000%!!!! Idk how they determine if employees get raises but he gets my vote for sure!!

We went on an 18-day trip to Vietnam & Cambodia. It was customized for two couples. Our travel consultant was Harpreet Litt. The hotels, tours, and guides were all first-rate. We enjoyed the trip, and also learned a great deal about the culture & history of these two countries. Thanks again to Harpreet & Goway!

Best Time to Visit

Nepal reveals its greatest beauty between October and November, when crisp skies and pleasant weather make it the perfect time for trekking, cultural immersion, and breathtaking Himalayan views. This is the peak season, so expect higher accommodation costs and bustling hubs like Kathmandu and Pokhara, yet the atmosphere is vibrant with energy and excitement.

Autumn days strike a balance between warmth and cool evenings, creating ideal conditions for outdoor adventures. The Himalayas appear in sharp clarity, while the trails come alive with fellow trekkers, adding to the sense of camaraderie. This season also coincides with major festivals like Dashain, offering a chance to experience Nepal’s spiritual and cultural life alongside its natural wonders.

Spring (March to May) is another excellent season, especially for trekking. The weather is mild, and the hillsides burst into colour with rhododendron blossoms. It’s also a rewarding time for birdwatchers, as migratory species fill the skies, adding a different charm to the landscapes.

By contrast, the summer monsoon (June to August) brings heavy rains, yet it transforms the land into a lush, green paradise. With fewer crowds, the experience can feel more personal and serene, appealing to those who don’t mind the showers.

Whether you come for the clear Himalayan panoramas in autumn, the blooms of spring, or the solitude of the monsoon, Nepal’s seasonal beauty ensures that each visit offers something special and unforgettable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. US and Canadian passport holders can get a tourist visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu) or at land borders. Usual options are 15 days (US$30), 30 days (US$50), or 90 days (US$125); you can extend in-country, up to 150 total days in a calendar year. Bring a passport valid for at least 6 months and a passport photo. If you plan to trek, most popular regions now require a licensed guide plus a TIMS card, and park/conservation permits (e.g., Sagarmatha, Annapurna). Check rules again before you go, as they can change.

Nepali is the official language, but you’ll hear dozens of regional tongues (Maithili, Newari, Tamang, Sherpa, and more). In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and main trekking routes, English is widely used in tourism—guides, hotels, and many shops can communicate comfortably. Learning a few Nepali basics like “Namaste” goes a long way.

Think living culture and big-mountain vistas. In the Kathmandu Valley, wander Durbar Squares, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath. Fly west to Pokhara for lakeside sunsets and Annapurna views. Wildlife lovers head to Chitwan (or Bardia) for rhino and jungle safaris. For Himalayan drama without a trek, consider a morning “Everest flightseeing” from Kathmandu. Pilgrims and history buffs add Lumbini, Buddha’s birthplace. (Goway features guided Kathmandu/Pokhara touring, Chitwan safaris, scenic Everest flights, and supported Annapurna/Everest treks.)

Petty theft is the main urban concern; keep valuables close in crowded areas and at trailheads. The bigger risks are environmental: altitude illness, landslides in monsoon, and weather-related flight delays. Trek with a licensed guide, carry travel insurance that covers evacuation, and monitor advisories before departure. Earthquakes can occur; know your hotel’s safety plan.

For long distances, domestic flights save time, but weather can delay or reroute services—especially to mountain airstrips like Lukla. In peak trekking seasons (roughly Mar–May and Sep–Nov), Lukla flights may operate from Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu; build in buffer time. Tourist coaches or private cars cover popular highway routes (Kathmandu–Pokhara–Chitwan). Within cities, taxis and ride-hailing are handy; traffic in Kathmandu can be slow, so plan accordingly.

Greet with a light “Namaste” and palms together. Remove shoes and hats when entering temples and private homes; walk clockwise around stupas. Dress modestly (covered shoulders/knees), especially at religious sites. Ask before photographing people or ceremonies. The cow is sacred—avoid bringing leather items into temples and never offer beef. Use your right hand (or both) when giving or receiving items. Tipping is appreciated for guides and porters; your Goway itinerary can suggest local norms.

Pack layers for altitude swings: a breathable base, warm mid-layer, and a wind/waterproof shell. From June to September, expect monsoon downpours—light rain gear and quick-dry clothing help, and trails can be muddy. Autumn (Oct–Dec) is crisp with the clearest skies; winter nights get cold even in Kathmandu. Add sun protection (hat, SPF, sunglasses), sturdy footwear, a refillable bottle with purification method, and any personal meds. Flight and road disruptions are more common in the monsoon, so keep essentials in your daypack.
