Ireland tour
I visited Ireland in September 2025. The trip was amazing and the second time I’ve booked with Goway travel. Well organized, we hit all the best sites and some we wouldn’t have known about without Goway’s expertise. Our agent. Farnaz Bagheri was professional , knowledgeable and very helpful during planning and when we had questions while travelling. Wonderful experience - highly recommend Farnaz and Goway

Switzerland by Train
Michael Keon planned a first-class two week trip for my husband me in Switzerland. We travelled by train to each destination with a first class Swiss travel pass - highly recommended. All our hotels were within walking distance of the train station and were very comfortable, most with balconies, and each one was very unique, giving a great flavour of the different cultures in Switzerland - lakeside, skiing village, French, Italian, German. Michael booked several excursions to tops of mountains on cogwheel trains or in gondolas. All very well organized!

Portugal/Spain
Had the pleasure of working with Heidi to plan a Portugal/Spain get away. She listened to our budget constraints and still pulled off a fabulous itinerary! We had a wonderful time!

Phenomenal service experience
I had the pleasure of working with Kyah for an Italian adventure for a family of 6. Kyah has been extremely helpful from the very beginning! She had a three-way call with the client and myself to get the “vision” firsthand. Not only did Kyah deliver the most amazing properties and itinerary, she literally saved this booking! The client was indecisive and the process lingered over a month. Kyah was very patient and after working more with the client, we delivered the PERFECT fit to secure the booking!!! I cannot thank her enough!

UK & France! Fantastic Experience
We booked our trip to the United Kingdom and France with Farnaz Bagheri, a destination specialist with Goway. Farnaz, and the Goway team have exceeded our expectations. Farnaz and Goway were extremely attentive and accommodating. This was our first time in Europe, which brought a lot of excitement, but also anxiety as there was a lot of new elements for us to navigate. Our anxiety quickly faded when our journey began and the itinerary that Farnaz crafted for us came to life, and went flawlessly. We are so grateful to have had such a flawless first trip to Europe thanks to Farnaz and Goway. We are so happy we put our trust in Farnaz and Goway and would absolutely book with them again!

Our Trip to Italy with Goway!
My husband and I are seasoned travelers and for our much anticipated trip to Italy we wanted to see the country independently for 3-4 weeks. Melissa worked with us to get an independent itinerary that combined the type of hotels, activities and excursions that we wanted. She also arranged for all of our transportation - trains, and drivers, as well as a car rental. The entire trip went very smoothly. Melissa got us exactly what we were hoping for. This is our second trip planned with Goway - our first to Japan, Singapore and Thailand and we would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you Melissa and Goway!

Italy ! Amazing once in a lifetime trip!
Thank you Goway , especially Jacqueline and Valerie for organizing our long itinerary wish list! Your weeks of travel planning created such a fantastic Italy experience! Great hotel locations in Florence, Milan, Palermo, Taormina and Cinque Terre . Good choices to help us understand cultural highlights. Great food tours. Some skip the line in Florence and Milan. We liked that good use of our vacation time. On any issue the team was easy to communicate with using WhatsApp.

European Excellence
My wife and I just got back from a 4 week-long trip to Croatia, Italy, and Switzerland. I contacted Goway in March and we dealt with Melissa Moses, who was fantastic. I explained to her what I was looking for and she offered suggestions for our trip. One of those suggestions was to join a Group Tour in Italy. Melissa set everything up very well and the support from Goway was very professional. I would certainly consider using Goway again and, if going to Europe, would try to get Melissa.

Best Time to Visit

Lithuania offers a different kind of beauty with every season, making it a destination that never feels the same twice. Whether you are drawn to lively festivals, cultural treasures, or the quiet embrace of nature, the timing of your visit can shape your experience in remarkable ways.

Summer, stretching from June to August, is when Lithuania feels at its most vibrant. Warm weather invites travellers outdoors, whether it’s strolling through the cobbled streets of Vilnius Old Town, cycling along forested trails, or basking by the Baltic Sea coastline. This is the season of energy and celebration, with festivals and long evenings filling the air with life.

In contrast, spring (April to May) and early autumn (September to October) offer a gentler rhythm. Blossoms and fresh greenery make spring feel like a season of renewal, while autumn paints the countryside in golden tones. With fewer crowds and comfortably mild weather, these months are ideal for cultural exploration, sightseeing, and slow journeys through towns and countryside alike.

Winter (December to February) casts an entirely different spell. Snow transforms landscapes into scenes of quiet beauty, particularly in places like the Curonian Spit. Winter festivals add warmth, while activities such as cross-country skiing highlight the season’s playful side. For those seeking calm and atmosphere, this is when Lithuania feels most enchanting.

The best time to visit Lithuania depends on your travel style: energetic summers for outdoor adventures, spring and autumn for a peaceful pace, or winter for a serene, snow-covered escape. Each season tells its own story, waiting to be discovered.

Frequently Asked Questions

US and Canadian citizens can enter Lithuania visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period as part of the Schengen Area. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure date. If you plan to stay longer or work, check current visa details before you go, as rules can change.

Lithuanian is the official language, and it’s proudly preserved. English is quite common in cities like Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipėda, especially among younger people and those working in tourism. In smaller towns, you may find fewer English speakers, but locals are friendly and often willing to help with gestures or translation apps.

Start in Vilnius, where cobblestone streets and baroque churches fill the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Trakai Island Castle, floating on a serene lake, and the Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai for a hauntingly beautiful symbol of resilience. Klaipėda opens the door to the Curonian Spit, where rolling dunes and pine forests meet the Baltic Sea. Kaunas offers vibrant street art and a youthful, creative energy.

Lithuania is one of Europe’s safer destinations. Petty theft can occur in busy areas, so keep an eye on your belongings. Roads are well maintained, and public transport is reliable. Be cautious crossing streets, as drivers can be assertive. Always carry some cash—smaller shops or markets may not accept cards.

Trains and intercity buses are efficient, affordable, and connect major towns. Vilnius to Kaunas takes about 1.5 hours by train. Renting a car gives you the freedom to explore the countryside or the Curonian Spit at your own pace. Bike paths are growing in number, especially along the coast.

Lithuanians tend to be reserved at first but warm once you connect. Handshakes are the standard greeting. It’s polite to remove shoes when entering someone’s home. Toasts are common during meals—make eye contact when raising your glass. Avoid discussing politics unless invited, and show respect for local traditions and history.

Lithuania has a temperate climate with distinct seasons. Summers (June–August) are mild to warm—pack light layers, a rain jacket, and comfortable shoes for cobblestone streets. Autumn brings colourful foliage and cooler temperatures, so include a sweater or coat. Winters are cold and snowy; pack warm layers, waterproof boots, and gloves. Spring can be unpredictable, so layers remain your best friend.
