1. Victoria Falls: The Smoke That Thunders

Begin your adventure at one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World—Victoria Falls. Locally known as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" or "The Smoke That Thunders," this majestic waterfall is where the Zambezi River spectacularly plunges into a narrow gorge, creating a mist that rises like a veil to the heavens. As you stand at the precipice, the roar of the water resounds in an exhilarating symphony that encapsulates the essence of adventure. Whether you're feeling brave enough for a white-water rafting expedition or yearning for a serene sunset cruise on the Zambezi, Victoria Falls promises excitement for all.

2. Hwange National Park: A Wildlife Wonderland

No trip to Zimbabwe is complete without a safari in Hwange National Park, the country's largest game reserve, where the untamed beauty of the African wilderness unfolds. This protected haven is home to an impressive population of elephants, lions, leopards, and the endangered African wild dogs. Opt for an exhilarating game drive or a walking safari to tread the paths of these magnificent creatures. The anticipation of a lion's roar or the sight of graceful giraffes against the golden savannah backdrop offers memories that linger long after the journey ends.

3. Ancient Mysteries of Great Zimbabwe

Venture into history at the Great Zimbabwe National Monument, a grand testament to the ingenuity of ancient Bantu civilization. This UNESCO World Heritage Site mesmerizes visitors with its towering stone structures, echoing tales of a bygone era where commerce and culture thrived. As you wander through the ruins, allow your imagination to weave stories of its past grandeur, making it one of the best places to travel in Zimbabwe for history enthusiasts.

For a tranquil escape, head to Lake Kariba, one of the world's largest man-made lakes. The sight of vast waters stretching to the horizon is an invitation to unwind. Engage in a fishing expedition, relax on a houseboat, or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll by the shore during sunset. Amidst the serenity of the lake, watch as local fishers gracefully manoeuvre their boats, a testament to the harmonious coexistence of tradition and nature.

Discover the mystical allure of Matobo Hills, a landscape characterized by balancing rock formations and ancient San rock art that whispers secrets of the past. Our 2-week trip to Normandy, Switzerland and Italy after we disembarked from the Queen Mary 2 in Southampton in mid-May was superb. Michael Keon did an amazing job of putting together highlights for us to see and visit with the short time we had. All the train reservations, private and small group tours and transportations were very well coordinated, on time, and usually exceeded our expectations. Drivers were courteous and knowledgeable. Mike did a wonderful job getting everything coordinated, in spite of our almost “last minute” booking. I booked a month-long trip through GOWAY back in 1989 for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, and they were superb then. So I tried them again, and found the entire organization to be even better. Mike was quick to respond to any questions that came up regarding booksings and times, regardless of the 6-hour time difference. Just superb! Although we had a nasty experience in Milan, GOWAY was very responsive and saw to our requests and our needs. Again, Michael Keon is the person who coordinated our travel. I will ask for Mike when I travel again with GOWAY. I recommend GOWAY highly. PJ Wheeler

I recently went on an African Safari with my brother-in-law and sister and another couple who I knew. The entire experience was absolutely unbelievable. The complete details were flawlessly coordinated from the transfers to the breathtaking lodges. Our guides Peter showed us Kenya and Maulid Tanzania were very knowledgeable and very sharp eyes for finding the animals. We were able to see the animals up close, learn a lot about the people, birds , vegetation etc. We had several sundowners in the bush really added to a magical experience with beautiful sunsets. I would highly recommend Goway to all my friends, they will not be disappointed. Thank you to Bijal for the excellent African Safari that you put together for us. You were wonderful.Nancy Hay
