Full Day Columbia Gorge Waterfalls Tour

Today, discover the scenic beauty of the Columbia River Gorge on a small group tour with an expert guide, stopping at several picturesque waterfalls typical of the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Depart from downtown Portland and drive towards Troutdale, known as the Gateway to the Gorge. Enjoy the journey along the Historic Columbia River Highway, the first planned scenic roadway in the United States. Continue along the historic highway deep into the Columbia River National Scenic Area until you arrive at the first waterfall of the day, the dramatic Latourell Falls, which plunges 249 feet over a massive wall of columnar basalt. You'll also have the chance to visit an often-overlooked gem, Horsetail Falls, directly off the historic highway. Next up is the grand Multnomah Falls, which plummets to the ground from 620 feet in two major steps. From an easily accessible viewing platform you have a full view of the Benson Bridge and cascading falls beyond. Today is dedicated to a full day excursion to Mount Rainier National Park. Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape. Also known as Tacoma, is the highest mountain of the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest, and the highest mountain in the state of Washington. It is an active volcano and has the most glaciated peak in the United States. It spawns five major rivers, and the top of the mountain is covered with snow all year round. When snow melts, water flows down in a large volume, and gives Rainier National Park the best waterfalls, vast lakes, and lush green forests. Your tour starts in Seattle and travels to Mt. Rainier National Park with stops at Longmire Museum, Christine Falls, Narada Falls, Paradise Visitor Center, and Reflection Lake before returning to Seattle.
