Overview

Take a trip to CN Tower on your Canada Vacation

At 1,815 ft (553 m), the CN Tower in Toronto is the tallest of all free-standing structures in the Western Hemisphere. Designated one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World in 1995, the tower was opened to the public in 1976, and back then was the tallest structure in the world before being supplanted by Dubai's Burj Khalifa

The CN Tower's Glass Floor offers a view 1,122 ft (341 m) straight down. The Main Observatory Level affords breathtaking 360 views of Toronto. The tower's most popular attraction is EdgeWalk. The hands-free walk has visitors walking on the ledge circling the tower's main pod, 1,168 ft (356 m) above the city, while attached to an overhead rail by a secure harness. It takes about 1.5 hours and isn't for the faint of the heart. Tickets to the scintillating urban adventure include keepsake photos, videos, and a certificate of achievement. The 360 Restaurant puts a spin on dining in the sky, and the tower's gift shop has a wide range of memorabilia. The tower is busiest on weekends, with crowds swelling around 12 pm and thinning out at 7 pm, when you can enjoy the night sky view in a more relaxed way.
