Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of Prince Edward Island and sits on the island’s south shore. It is known as the “Cradle of Canada’s Confederation.”

Hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world visit the house and the Haunted Wood and Balsam Hollow Trail, as described in the classic Canadian children’s book, “Anne of Green Gables.”

Or take a day trip to Covehead Harbour Lighthouse, the Gulf Shore Parkway, the rolling sand dunes of Brackley Beach, or explore nearby Argyle Shore, Provincial Park.
