The city of Suva, located on the south east coast of Viti Levu, is Fiji’s political and administrative capital and the largest and most cosmopolitan city in the South Pacific on a Fiji vacation. It contains the majority of the country’s population including expats and students from all over the Pacific region.

On trips to Fiji, Suva does experience frequent rain and there are usually clouds hovering above the city. Interestingly enough, it was originally built on a reclaimed mangrove swamp.
