The Enchantment of Belfast and Beyond

Your journey might begin in the buzzing heart of Northern Ireland, Belfast. Known for its rich tapestry of history and modern cultures, Belfast is a city reborn, where past and present coexist in harmonious splendour. For those interested in Northern Ireland escorted tours, Belfast serves as an ideal starting point. Delight in the historical grandeur of the City Hall, where Edwardian architecture demands your admiration, and lose yourself in the vibrant, arty streets of the Cathedral Quarter, home to some of the best eateries and pubs.

But the magic extends beyond the city limits. A short drive will transport you to landscapes so mystical they seem almost otherworldly. The Antrim Coast, with its rugged cliffs and quaint villages, offers unmissable views. Here, you will find the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders. The interlocking basalt columns that form this geological marvel are the stuff of legends.

Cultural Tapestry and Timeless Traditions

From music to folklore, Northern Ireland has a rich cultural tapestry woven with stories and sounds that span millennia. Participate in a traditional music session in a local pub, where melodious tunes of fiddles and flutes sweep you away into the heart of the local spirit. These moments are a must during any trips to Northern Ireland, allowing travellers a glimpse into the communal heart of its people.

The town of Derry~Londonderry, known for its striking city walls dating back to the 17th century, brims with compelling history and a burgeoning arts scene. Here, street art and murals offer poignant narratives of the city’s past, illustrating both conflict and peace. Walking these walls is not just informative but a deeply moving experience—a vital part of Northern Ireland escorted tours.

Culinary Explorations

Prepare your palate for a culinary journey that delights as much as it surprises. Northern Ireland’s burgeoning food scene is an irresistible mix of traditional fare and contemporary creativity. Whether it's enjoying hearty plates of Irish stew in a countryside inn or indulging in modern gastronomy at one of Belfast's chic restaurants, each dish is a celebration of the land and its harvest.

Don’t miss trying a classic Ulster Fry—an iconic breakfast that fuels many a traveller's adventures—or visiting a local market, such as St George’s Market in Belfast, where the freshest produce and artisanal finds await. This culinary exploration is a quintessential component of trips to Northern Ireland, enriching your experience with every bite.

Practical Tips for Your Adventure

  • Getting Around: Consider renting a car to explore the lush landscapes at your own pace. Alternatively, guided group tours to Northern Ireland offer full itineraries that maximize viewing of key sites with ease.

  • Local Etiquette: Politeness goes a long way. Engage with locals, who are famously friendly and eager to share their stories.

Awaken Your Sense of Adventure

Whether it's wandering through the age-old stones of Dunluce Castle, marvelling at the natural artistry of the Mourne Mountains, or simply enjoying a cup of tea overlooking an emerald-hued valley, Northern Ireland beckons with adventure and discovery. Each moment spent here promises memories enriched by history, culture, and nature’s own masterpiece.

You should try a Zen meditation session. Imagine slipping into a silk kimono for the day—carefully tied by an expert dresser, every fold precise, every colour chosen to suit the season. It’s a ritual that feels as personal as it is timeless.

What do I love about Japan? In a word - EVERYTHING. The incredible contrast that Japan offers - new/innovative vs old/traditional, the warm and welcoming people, the incredible rich culture, the culinary wonders awaiting around every corner, the cleanliness, efficiency and safety. It's one of the best places to visit in Asia in my opinion.

Pub Street in Siem Reap, Cambodia, is a local favourite with very inexpensive drinks. It's also a great place to try the local delicacy, BBQ frog.

I love how laidback and relaxed Laos is compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. It's like the best of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand all rolled into one, and then sent back in time 20 to 30 years.

Everything was expertly planned, from the drivers to the hotels to the tours to the flights. We particularly enjoyed Hobart and the animal sanctuary, Adelaide and the trip to Kangaroo Island, Melbourne and the evening tour with dinner and drinks, and Sydney with the private boat cruise of the Harbour. We will definitely use Goway again.SARA Wiebe

There were 4 travelers on this trip. All of us were in our late 70's. We started planning this trip 6 months prior to our travel date and had a lot of questions regarding this trip. Our Goway Travel Specialist, Karen Larrota, always answered our questions in a timely and complete manner. We traveled to Quito, Ecuador, the Galapagos, The Sacred Valley in Peru, Machu Picchu, and Cusco in Peru. Not only were the destinations and accommodations excellent, but every tour guide and driver were beyond excellent. The entire trip went smoothly every step of the way, which was amazing given the fact that there were numerous flights and hotels included in our package. We found out that the tour company that Goway used, Condor Travel, checked on us with our guide to make sure we were doing OK which we thought was very nice but also amusing as we are fairly fit older adults. Would also like to mention that we did a cruise thru the Galapagos on the Galapagos Legend which was arranged thru Go Galapagos - Kleintouurs. This portion of our tour was also excellent as were the wildlife guides and staff. We continue to discuss how wonderful this trip was with our family and friends and how wonderful this experience was. Would definately use Goway for our travel needs in the future.Dianne

After spending some time with our agent, we felt that she understood exactly what we had in mind as far as the level of service, etc, we were hoping for. The trip exceeded our expectations. Lori kept us busy(not too busy!) and we had many, many very exciting experiences. Bruce Belshaw

Aylin is an exceptionally proficient advisor. Coordinating my clients simultaneously often feels like herding cats, but she has remained patient and accommodating through every modification and delay. Goway continues to be my go-to for complex itineraries, and they never disappoint.Nick Cron, ACC

My daughter and I had a wonderful 2 weeks in New Zealand! The country is so beautiful and the people so friendly. Our destination specialist did a great job with planning and organizing the itinerary, choosing our hotels, and organizing transportation. The hotels were absolutely beautiful and we had great views. We felt right at home and found all of the staff to be friendly and accommodating. There were no issues with our itinerary and our excursions we were always on the list. Our transportation was always ready and waiting for us. We want to thank Goway Travel for their hard work and patience with us in planning this trip. Any changes that needed to be made were communicated timely. We also want to thank you for the beautiful weather during the entire 2 weeks it was perfect every day 😀. It was a memorable trip that we will never forget and we will think of Goway when we plan our next adventure. Because it was not just a vacation; it was an adventure!Connie Wenhardt

Brigitta Fuller is Amazing! She was my group coordinator. She understood the assignment and all the nuances I was trying to achieve. The itinerary she curated was fantastic. If you want someone who truly cares about her group and what they are trying to achieve. I will always reach out to Brigitta first for Europe groups. Kathryn Walker

My clients had a wonderful time on their trip to Easter Island. They were very pleased with the Hare Nua Hotel Boutique and especially noted the warmth and hospitality of the hotel staff as well as their excellent breakfasts. Jaime Vargas-Hendandez was an exceptionally gracious and knowledgeable agent, who went out of his way to ensure that my clients had the best possible experience. I will definitely contact him for future bookings and will recommend him to my colleagues.Alethea Kardas
