Take a trip to the Dingle Peninsula on your Ireland Vacation
On an Ireland vacation, to the north of the Ring of Kerry is the Dingle Peninsula, which juts out into the Atlantic Ocean in southwest Ireland. It is about 48 kilometres/30 miles in circumference and must be driven in a clockwise direction on an Ireland vacation. It is a mountainous peninsula containing Ireland’s second-highest peak. The coastline consists of steep cliffs together with sandy beaches.
The town of Dingle is traditionally Gaelic in character and has the claim to be the most western point in Ireland. This fishing port is quaint where many pubs double as shops so you can enjoy a Guinness along with purchasing hardware items. As you travel around Dingle, on an Ireland vacation, you experience amazing panoramic views of the ocean. The dramatic Connor Pass is the highest mountain pass in Ireland. There are wonderful views here of the coastal cliffs while on an Ireland vacation.
The Blasket Islands, which lie off the west coast, are famous for the literary and linguistic heritage of the former inhabitants. However, these remote islands have been uninhabited since the 1950s following an evacuation. Parts of the Dingle are extremely bleak and godforsaken. The pounding waves against the cliffs give The Dingle Peninsula character.
The Gallarus Oratory is a 1300-year-old stone church and a rare sight as it stands on a lonely spot on the hills. There is also Gallarus Castle built in the 15th Century. Then there is the Celtic & Prehistoric Museum with its collection of prehistoric artifacts including a 40,000-year-old cave bear skeleton.

Two tips for first time visitors: The weather is famously unpredictable so always pack layers and a rain jacket, no matter the season, and Ireland runs on a relaxed pace, so don’t be surprised if things are a bit slower than you're used to especially in rural areas
If you're visiting Ireland between February and September, you must experience a local hurling or Gaelic football match. It's our national sports and a true reflection of Irish passion and pride!

The accommodations, transfers, transportation, guides' input and visits' setup met the highest standards and expectations.Nadia & Cristian We recently completed a trip to Crete, Greece - our third trip with GoWay - and I have run out of superlatives to laud their efforts. This was a self drive trip, and as has been our experience with GoWay, we were permitted to customize the standard offered itinerary to suit our personal preferences. Brooke, our agent on this trip, went the extra mile to make all the adjustments we requested, including providing for an English-speaking guide at the Phaistos archeological site. The hotels which Brooke booked on our behalf were truly excellent, and - again, per our wish - just outside of the urban chaos of Heraklion, Rethymno and Chania, but close enough to readily access the cities' benefits. Each hotel was a beachside sanctuary, and we spent several serene, idyllic days never leaving the hotel, and yet there was plenty of time for more distant and adventurous sight seeing.

It was very well organized and included everything we requested, and more. We did two safaris - one in Tanzania and one in South Africa. We had issues with communicating with the driver. At times I was asked where, I was gone. The local company handled the situation and there were minor issues after. I would recommend a local English-speaking guide every day. My clients loved the trip. The area we stayed in had many restaurants and local markets nearby. I recommend the cooking class, flamenco dance show, wine tasting and taps tour, and the city tour. Jolynn TizenoAni M was absolutely amazing to work with! I actually chose Goway for our group trip because of her recommendations. Throughout the planning process, Ani was incredibly helpful and answered ALL of my questions, even when I asked the same ones more than once! She was patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I enjoyed working with her and her team so much that I already have another group trip planned with her, and I expect we'll be planning another one soon!
The guides during our Scotland trip were wonderful as well. Ian Short was the BEST! He was professional, knowledgeable, and made sure everything ran smoothly so we could simply enjoy the experience. He even worked in sightseeing stops we didn't know we needed to see, and those little extras made the trip even better.
