Exploring Aotearoa: A Land of Enchantment

One cannot delve into a New Zealand escapade without marvelling at its natural splendours. The South Island, renowned for its majestic Southern Alps, presents a canvas of raw beauty. Here, you can embark on exhilarating tours of New Zealand, including the world-renowned Milford Track, where ancient rainforests, frothy waterfalls, and serene valleys create a hiker's paradise. Don't miss a chance to witness the mystical glowworms in the Waitomo Caves—a luminescent wonder illuminating the underground labyrinth.

Meanwhile, the North Island's rich Maori culture imparts a soulful rhythm to any journey. In Rotorua, the heartland of Maori heritage, visitors are invited to partake in traditional hangi feasts and spirited performances, a testament to the enduring legacy of New Zealand’s first people. The Maori narrative, woven through the landscapes of Aoteaora, enriches the experience, offering more than just visual delight but a deeper cultural understanding.

Savouring Flavours: A Culinary Journey

New Zealand’s culinary scene is an exploration in itself. With its fertile lands and bounteous seas, the country is a haven for foodies. Venture into the wine-laden expanses of Marlborough, renowned for its crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Pair this with delectable kaimoana (seafood), such as green-lipped mussels and succulent crayfish, fresh from the pristine waters of the South Pacific. For those with a sweet tooth, a slice of pavlova, New Zealand's national dessert, offers a delightful harmony of crispy meringue with velvety cream and fresh fruit.

Travelers can also indulge in farm-to-table experiences across the nation, from bustling farmers' markets in Auckland to cozy vineyard lunches in Otago, ensuring that each bite is not only savoured but remembered.

Adventure Awaits: Thrilling Excursions

New Zealand is synonymous with adventure, firmly rooted in its popular outdoor pursuits. Queenstown, aptly titled the adventure capital of the world, promises adrenalin-packed thrills ranging from bungee jumping off the historic Kawarau Bridge to jet boating in the surging Shotover River. Whether you yearn for skiing down the powdery slopes of the Remarkables or embarking on a breathless canyon swing, the exhilaration is boundless.

For a more sedate pace, the country's extensive cycling trails, such as the Otago Central Rail Trail, provide an enchanting way to immerse oneself in the picturesque landscapes, with each twist and turn unveiling vistas that seem to leap out of a storybook.

Practical Tips for Your New Zealand Tour

  • Timing Your Visit: New Zealand's seasons are inverted for those in the Northern Hemisphere—plan for a summer visit between December and February to soak up the sun.
  • Travel Options: Consider Oceania vacation packages that offer a blend of guided and independent exploration, ensuring you encounter both iconic and hidden gems.
  • Getting Around: Domestic flights and a reliable network of buses and ferries make navigating across the islands convenient. Yet, renting a car allows for greater freedom, especially when aiming to explore off-the-beaten-path locales.

A Call to Explore

The enchantment of New Zealand stretches beyond its shorelines, inviting exploration from every corner of its diverse terrain. Whether it's embarking on a leisurely beach stroll along the Bay of Islands, exploring mystical forests in Fiordland, or delving into the cultural heartbeats in Wellington, each facet of New Zealand offers a new chapter in the travel memoir of Oceania.

For those yearning to traverse the lines between nature's artistry and cultural vitality, New Zealand stands as the quintessential destination, a cornerstone of any Oceania vacation package. As you plan your journey, let the landscapes inspire and the hospitality embrace you; for in New Zealand, the road less travelled often yields the most poignant adventures.

The food in New Zealand is incredible, and New Zealanders are rightly proud of their paddock to plate cuisine. Almost everything is sustainably grown and processed, from lamb and seafood to vegetables and fruit.

Everything was expertly planned, from the drivers to the hotels to the tours to the flights. We particularly enjoyed Hobart and the animal sanctuary, Adelaide and the trip to Kangaroo Island, Melbourne and the evening tour with dinner and drinks, and Sydney with the private boat cruise of the Harbour. We will definitely use Goway again.SARA Wiebe

There were 4 travelers on this trip. All of us were in our late 70's. We started planning this trip 6 months prior to our travel date and had a lot of questions regarding this trip. Our Goway Travel Specialist, Karen Larrota, always answered our questions in a timely and complete manner. We traveled to Quito, Ecuador, the Galapagos, The Sacred Valley in Peru, Machu Picchu, and Cusco in Peru. Not only were the destinations and accommodations excellent, but every tour guide and driver were beyond excellent. The entire trip went smoothly every step of the way, which was amazing given the fact that there were numerous flights and hotels included in our package. We found out that the tour company that Goway used, Condor Travel, checked on us with our guide to make sure we were doing OK which we thought was very nice but also amusing as we are fairly fit older adults. Would also like to mention that we did a cruise thru the Galapagos on the Galapagos Legend which was arranged thru Go Galapagos - Kleintouurs. This portion of our tour was also excellent as were the wildlife guides and staff. We continue to discuss how wonderful this trip was with our family and friends and how wonderful this experience was. Would definately use Goway for our travel needs in the future.Dianne

After spending some time with our agent, we felt that she understood exactly what we had in mind as far as the level of service, etc, we were hoping for. The trip exceeded our expectations. Lori kept us busy(not too busy!) and we had many, many very exciting experiences. Bruce Belshaw

My daughter and I had a wonderful 2 weeks in New Zealand! The country is so beautiful and the people so friendly. Our destination specialist did a great job with planning and organizing the itinerary, choosing our hotels, and organizing transportation. The hotels were absolutely beautiful and we had great views. We felt right at home and found all of the staff to be friendly and accommodating. There were no issues with our itinerary and our excursions we were always on the list. Our transportation was always ready and waiting for us. We want to thank Goway Travel for their hard work and patience with us in planning this trip. Any changes that needed to be made were communicated timely. We also want to thank you for the beautiful weather during the entire 2 weeks it was perfect every day 😀. It was a memorable trip that we will never forget and we will think of Goway when we plan our next adventure. Because it was not just a vacation; it was an adventure!Connie Wenhardt

Brigitta Fuller is Amazing! She was my group coordinator. She understood the assignment and all the nuances I was trying to achieve. The itinerary she curated was fantastic. If you want someone who truly cares about her group and what they are trying to achieve. I will always reach out to Brigitta first for Europe groups. Kathryn Walker

My clients had a wonderful time on their trip to Easter Island. They were very pleased with the Hare Nua Hotel Boutique and especially noted the warmth and hospitality of the hotel staff as well as their excellent breakfasts. Jaime Vargas-Hendandez was an exceptionally gracious and knowledgeable agent, who went out of his way to ensure that my clients had the best possible experience. I will definitely contact him for future bookings and will recommend him to my colleagues.Alethea Kardas
