Bangkok: The Heartbeat of Thailand

The journey begins in the bustling metropolis of Bangkok, the energetic heart of Thailand. Known for its vibrant street life and cultural landmarks, Bangkok is where tradition meets modernity. The Grand Palace, an architectural masterpiece, is a must-visit, encompassing the spiritual essence of the Thai people. Get lost in the labyrinthine alleys of the Chatuchak Weekend Market, a shopper’s paradise where you can find everything from local art to luscious street food.

Chiang Mai: A Cultural Retreat

For travelers seeking tranquility with a dash of history, where to visit in Thailand calls for a retreat to Chiang Mai. Tucked in the mountainous region of northern Thailand, this city is renowned for its ancient temples. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, perched high on a hill, offers not only spiritual solace but also breathtaking views of the city below. Chiang Mai is also famous for its vibrant festivals; plan your trip to coincide with the Yi Peng Lantern Festival to experience a spectacle of lights and serenity.

Ayutthaya: A Walk Through History

Just a short journey from Bangkok, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya invites you to step back in time. Once the prosperous capital of the Kingdom of Siam, Ayutthaya is now a city of historic ruins and archaeological wonders. Explore ancient temples and prang towers that tell tales of a glorious past amidst a backdrop of natural beauty.

Phuket and Krabi: Sun, Sand and Sea

No Thailand journey is complete without indulging in its world-famous beaches. Phuket, with its vibrant nightlife and pristine beaches, is a tropical paradise. Whether you’re lounging on Patong Beach or exploring the underwater world of Kata Noi, there’s no shortage of sun-soaked activities. Nearby Krabi offers a more subdued escape, with its limestone cliffs and clear waters at Railay Beach, ideal for rock climbing and snorkeling.

Koh Samui: Island Luxury

For a blend of luxury and natural beauty, Koh Samui is a top contender. Known for its palm-fringed beaches and opulent resorts, this island is perfect for those seeking a serene getaway with style. Visit the golden Big Buddha temple and indulge in local culinary delights at the Fisherman’s Village.

The Thai Culinary Journey

Dining in Thailand is as much an adventure as exploring its landscapes. From the savory delight of a steaming bowl of Tom Yum Goong to the sweet, aromatic bite of Mango Sticky Rice, Thai cuisine is a celebration of flavours. Be sure to take a cooking class in Chiang Mai or Bangkok.

Practical Travel Tips

  • Weather Awareness: Thailand boasts a tropical climate, so pack light, breathable clothing, and don’t forget your sunscreen to protect against the intense sun.
  • Transportation: Tuk-tuks and local buses are an affordable and fun way to get around cities. For longer distances, consider the Thai railway, offering scenic views and comfortable travel.
  • Respect Local Customs: When visiting temples, dress modestly and remove your shoes. It’s polite to offer a wai, a traditional Thai greeting, to show respect.

While Thailand is ever evolving, what remains constant is its allure and warmth. Whether your tastes run to exploring ancient ruins, lounging on a tranquil beach or partaking in a bustling festival, our best Thailand vacation packages promise a cultural adventure that transcends the ordinary, inviting you to marvel and experience a country that's both timeless and forward-moving.

Thailand is a friendly destination with fun & warm people, great food, and impressive cultural and beach experiences. Simply wandering neighbourhoods, visiting temples, shops & viewpoints, and eating at local restaurants are what I enjoy most when visiting Thailand. The south of Thailand is a special location with beautiful scenery and a seemingly laid back lifestyle, so visiting this area is always a special and memorable experience.

All the people that I met at the hotel, restaurants, and parks were always smiling at me. I can feel that they are grateful to all international tourists. A Thai smile inspires me most and makes me want to revisit.

We are still on our journey in Italy. At Capri now and heading to the Amalfi Coast. So far, we can’t thank Goway enough for putting our itinerary together so quickly. Everything is going well and hope the next 10 days are perfect too. Gladys Vivian

Can't say enough good things about Goway Travel. From the very start, our travel rep, Harpreet, listened carefully to what we were hoping to see and do on our first trip to Japan. She asked great questions and then came back to us with a detailed itinerary packed with adventure and fun, and all within our travel budget. From the moment we took off from LAX, Harpreet had made sure we had every tour voucher, hotel voucher, plane ticket, train ticket, literally every detail covered. All we had to do was follow our itinerary. Also, Harpreet booked us into terrific hotels. Each one was spotlessly clean, comfortable, included a full (and delicious) breakfast and, most importantly, was centrally located to all of the activities she had planned for us. So everything was a 5 or 10-minute walk away. In three weeks' time we were able to visit six cities and so many fascinating shrines, temples, castles, imperial palaces - most of which were World Heritage sites. Harpreet also tucked in fabulous "experiences" like learning how to make sushi with a professional chef, enjoying a tea ceremony and watching graceful Geishas dance. My husband and I are seasoned travelers. But we don't speak Japanese and we really knew very little about the country. There is no way we would have been able to see and do all of the fascinating things we did in Japan if we hadn't chosen Goway Travel to be our guide. Many thanks for an unforgettable trip! Great country (Italy), great people and love the feel you get by just being you. Ingrid Aird did a great job with a pair of tours one private and one group. Organizing pickup from airport and flights. Hotel, Enterprise Hotel, after a bit of a rough start getting us into a proper room, was more than excellent.Thomas Helps

We were looking forward to a magical vacation in Greece, and Goway Travel delivered on all fronts. This is the second time that we have booked with them (the first being an incredible excursion in Thailand), and everything went along swimmingly. Only on one occasion did a tour go sideways, but our Goway specialist (Patrick) took care of it for us. When your tour involves many flights, numerous hotels, various tours, ferries, and transfers, it is nice to know that your travel specialist can handle it all. Goway (from Patrick to all the other staff involved) handled everything in such a professional manner. Thanks Goway for such an incredible experience in Greece. I look forward to another adventure in the near future!Jenny Friess

We recently returned from France - three cities in two weeks - and our trip was fantastic! Jacqueline helped us with a return to France with no worries and concerns. Drivers met us at every destination- hotels were superb and the individual tours memorable. This is a return vacation with Goway and we could not be more pleased. The customer service is top notch and all questions answered promptly. For us seniors, we appreciate all the thoughtfulness and consideration.ElizaGray

While researching suppliers for a clients Thailand honeymoon, I remembered being referred to GoWay by a longterm TA ….because they “get it right and get it done!” I had already started their training modules, so I put in a quote. Immediately, Taylor responded with a very thorough email and we decided to chat. I gave him my specifics and he again responded immediately and matched my client’s travel needs 100%. I found it comforting to speak with a country expert with the knowledge I needed. My clients booked their vacation and are very excited about their itinerary! Thank you Taylor for making this process seamless.Karla B

Our rep at GoWay, Kimberly, was fantastic from start to finish. Once we were on the trip, everything flowed seamlessly and every tour and transport was on time.Lisa Wildes
