Imagine a place where emerald rice fields meet azure seas and a vibrant culture invites you to explore both the old and the new. Welcome to the Philippines, a paradise in Southeast Asia that offers a trove of must see things for every traveler’s bucket list and ensures some of the best Philippines tours you'll ever encounter.

The Natural Wonders of the Philippines

Start your journey on the pristine beaches of Palawan, often hailed as the last ecological frontier of the Philippines. El Nido's breathtaking limestone cliffs and crystal-clear waters offer unparalleled views and snorkeling adventures. If the sparkles beneath the sea draw you in, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Tubbataha Reefs is a diver’s dream, teeming with marine life.

Venture further to the awe-inspiring Banaue Rice Terraces, carved by the Ifugao ancestors over 2,000 years ago. These terraces, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", offer a glimpse into sustainable farming practices and the harmonious relationship between humans and nature.

Cultural Riches and Heritage

For culture enthusiasts, a walk through the cobblestone streets of Vigan is like stepping into a time capsule. This Spanish colonial town is a blend of European architecture and Filipino heritage, making it a centerpiece for photographs and cultural walks. Explore the craftsmanship at Calle Crisologo and witness the art of furniture making passed down through generations.

In the heart of Manila, the walled city of Intramuros reflects centuries-old stories of Spanish conquest and Filipino resilience. Whether you’re an amateur historian or simply curious, visiting Fort Santiago and San Agustin Church is a fascinating dive into history.

Gastronomic Journeys

No trip to the Philippines would be complete without indulging in its diverse culinary scene. Start with adobo, a national dish beloved by locals – it’s a mouth-watering stew with a soy sauce and vinegar base. Equally delightful is the sinfully sweet leche flan, which perfectly illustrates the Spanish influence on Filipino desserts.

Meanwhile, in Cebu, the lechon (whole roasted pig) is a must-try. Anthony Bourdain once claimed Cebu's lechon to be the best in the world, and locals will eagerly confirm his declaration. Don’t leave without trying the unique purple-hued dessert, ube, a staple in Filipino kitchens transformed into ice creams, cakes, and even lattes.

Unique Experiences Await

Consider a dip with the gentle giants in Donsol, where swimming with whale sharks brings unparalleled thrills. Timing your visit between November to April will afford you the best opportunity to swim alongside these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

The Chocolate Hills of Bohol present another captivating spectacle. During the dry season, these grass-covered hills turn a distinct shade of brown, hence their name. While here, don't miss a chance to see the Tarsiers – one of the world’s smallest primates known for their enormous eyes and odd nocturnal habits.

Practical Travel Tips

To make the most of your Philippines vacations, plan your visit during the dry months from November to May. This period promises clear skies and smooth travel across islands. Keep in mind that English is widely spoken, which makes communication hassle-free for international visitors. Embrace the extraordinary hospitality that Filipinos are known for – it’ll make your trip not just a visit, but an invitation to return.

The Philippines is a land of endless allure. Whether you're chasing the perfect wave, exploring ancient terraces, savoring a new dish, or indulging in the historical tapestry that the islands unfold, this country invites you to lose yourself and find the extraordinary. It's time to pack your bags and experience one of the best tours you've ever embarked upon, discovering it's not just a trip, but a myriad of unforgettable memories waiting to be made.

We recently traveled to Portugal and had the most wonderful experience. As our first venture overseas, we decided to search online for travel assistance. We happened across Goway Travel and are so glad we did! Michael Keon, our Destination Specialist, is extremely proficient and knowledgeable in his profession. "Thorough" is an understatement. He assisted every step of the way from the moment we stepped on our flights, transfer arrangements, hotel accommodations, train travel and multiple tours/outings tailored to our specific needs/wish list. He provided unparalleled guidance and support during the planning process and was always available to discuss any questions/concerns. His communications were always prompt and concise. Without a doubt, our best trip to date...there will be no hesitation to contact Mr. Keon for future travels. Joanna Lynn Mays Michael Andrew Mays Joanna Mays

What made this experience great was Cedric Wai. Had a client going to Asia and this is Cedric's wheelhouse since he is from there. Everything was wonderful. Everything went smoothly. The individual tours were wonderful and all the guides were exceptional. A lot of traveling-the flight was very good on Cathay Pacific would highly recommend their airline seats were comfortable and spaced well. Being on an airplane for 16 hours sucks in general, but other than being a little sore from being stuck in one place all was good. Thank you so much for all your help and the trip was wonderful and everything that it should be! Next trip will be much more relaxing, sitting still for a while on a beach somewhere ha ha!Careen Sullivan

My destination specialist, Katie Stephenson was amazing from the onset. Her customer service, communication style and planning skills was so timely and top notch. Our trip was to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia, from Aug 4-22, 2026. The way she planned and booked the trip makes the experience convenient and enjoyable. The flexibility of payment makes the decision faster and attractive. Everything we need to know including contacts were readily available within our travel documents itinerary. Overall, I'll say it's money well spent and a lifetime experience particularly for my kids.Festus

We went on a highly customized comprehensive (though quick tour) of England and a bit of Scotland through Goway. Ingrid Aird did an amazing job of planning and arranging every detail with her deep experience, insight, thoughtfulness and creativity, tuning into the needs of each traveler; and she did so even though our decision to travel was rather spontaneous and last minute! Our family had the best time! We look forward to working with Ingrid and Goway again!Vilja Breiling
