Overview
Take a trip to Kuang Si Waterfall on your Laos Vacation
Kuang Si Falls is a three-tiered waterfall located 18 mi (29 km) south of Luang Prabang. Its beautiful turquoise waters and multiple cascades flowing down limestone rocks draw visitors exploring Luang Prabang.
There are multiple shallow pools atop a steep hillside and a main fall with a drop of 200 ft (61 m). The main pool has rope swings and an overhanging tree limb from which you can jump into the water. Walking past the pools brings you to a footbridge and the main waterfall. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the waterfall and listen to the roar of the water down the cliffs. A 15-minute hike to the top of the waterfall offers views of the surrounding forest. Changing rooms and restrooms are available. Still, it's a good idea to carry toilet paper and hand sanitizer as not all restrooms will have these amenities.

Lao kipWhat do the experts say?
Most people don’t know that Laos is home to mysterious ancient caves and hidden temples that few travellers ever visit, tucked away in remote mountains and along quiet rivers.
What I love most about travelling to Laos is the great mix of culture, history, good food, vibrant markets, and scenic views.
I love how laidback and relaxed Laos is compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. It's like the best of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand all rolled into one, and then sent back in time 20 to 30 years.
