Overview
Take a trip to Jimbaran on your Indonesia Vacation
Jimbaran is somewhat different from the other Bali beaches. It is located on the southwestern coast on a narrow isthmus attached to the rest of the island. Its character reflects the quiet and tranquil aspects of this beach area. The beach can be rocky in parts but there are certainly excellent stretches of sandy beach. It is, to a degree, still a fishing village as there is a lively fish market where one can see the catches of the day on display. It follows that there are excellent fish restaurants to be found here.
A major attraction is the nearby Uluwatu Temple, an iconic Balinese landmark with its open amphitheatre. Jimbaran is also the place to experience the famous Kecak dance performances.
