Welcome to Delhi, the intriguing cultural and historical centre of India's past and future, built over 450 years by a succession of empires - first the Hindu and Muslim dynasties, followed by the powerful Mughal dynasty who ruled until the British took over. Delhi offers its visitors glimpses of the stupendous power and wealth of its past. Where even the most modern parts of the city retain their distinctly Indian identity, here you will find a model of the latest car cruising through the streets and at the busiest intersection you will find a herd of doe-eyed cows oblivious to the traffic. Train to Agra and Taj Mahal at Sunset

Early this morning, transfer to the Delhi Railway Station to board your train to Agra, the Gatimaan Express (approx. 1.5 hrs). Your guide will help you board the train in Delhi and then say goodbye; you will meet your next guide on arrival at the train station in Agra. Agra, was the capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th and 17th Centuries and as result, the city is home to the finest examples of Mughal architecture in India, of which the Taj Mahal is the most famous. Upon arrival at Agra Railway Station, begin your sightseeing with a visit to Agra Fort. With imposing gates, walls of red sandstone and a moat, it dominates the center of the city and offers views of the Taj Mahal. After visiting Agra Fort, transfer to your hotel to refresh and relax. Later this afternoon, experience the splendor and beauty of the Taj Mahal with a sunset visit.

Our 2-week trip to Normandy, Switzerland and Italy after we disembarked from the Queen Mary 2 in Southampton in mid-May was superb. Michael Keon did an amazing job of putting together highlights for us to see and visit with the short time we had. All the train reservations, private and small group tours and transportations were very well coordinated, on time, and usually exceeded our expectations. Drivers were courteous and knowledgeable. Mike did a wonderful job getting everything coordinated, in spite of our almost “last minute” booking. I booked a month-long trip through GOWAY back in 1989 for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, and they were superb then. So I tried them again, and found the entire organization to be even better. I recently went on an African Safari with my brother-in-law and sister and another couple who I knew. The entire experience was absolutely unbelievable. The complete details were flawlessly coordinated from the transfers to the breathtaking lodges. Our guides Peter showed us Kenya and Maulid Tanzania were very knowledgeable and very sharp eyes for finding the animals.
