Overview
Take a trip to Yangshuo on your China Vacation
Surrounded by karst peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River, Yangshuo is a county near Guilin. Popular on China tours for its mountains, rivers, caves, and temples, Yangshuo has a laid-back feel and is visited by tourists who enjoy the relaxed, air and noise-pollution-free atmosphere.
Yangshuo is comprised of two major tourist streets, which run almost parallel. West Street, which can be seen from the river, is the older, more established street, while the other long tourist street is Diecuilu. As well, a small creek runs in between these two streets and features some pretty restaurants and bars overlooking the water – an area which has recently been rebuilt and developed.
In the evening, enjoy a water show by the Li River, performed by local villagers and fishermen, and staged with Yangshuo’s magnificent beauty as a backdrop to China travel.

What do the experts say?
It is very enjoyable to travel in China by high-speed train, but you should avoid travelling during the National Holidays from October 1 to 7 and from May 1 to 4, as they get extra busy.
Jinxian Road in Shanghai is a small road but full of superb, Michelin-recognized restaurants. I highly recommend visiting here on your travels to China.
China's many beautiful natural sights and rich cultural areas are what I love most about visiting. Some of my personal favourites are Yunnan's Shangri-La, Xinjiang, Zhangjiajie, and the 5 Great Mountains.
