Overview
Take a trip to Bazaruto Archipelago on your Mozambique Vacation
The islands in Bazaruto Archipelago are among the most beautiful in the Indian Ocean. Each of the six islands has its own unique character. Bazaruto is the largest of the islands, known for its extensive coastline and white sandy beaches. Magaruque is an idyllic island with beautiful beaches and coral reefs.
The islands' rich ecology makes the archipelago a haven for diving, snorkelling, and birding. You will spot reef fish, rays, and turtles around the shore, and sharks, manta rays, dugongs, and other large creatures further afield. The Bazaruto National Park is the perfect spot for these activities. Laze on the soft white sands and gaze at the turquoise waters, or enjoy a picnic with the family. You can also consider taking a cooking class to learn more about the cuisine. The islands become festive during special events like Christmas and New Year's Eve.
